Want to craft and add a song to your story?

Meet Suno, the innovative AI music platform redefining how we create and experience music. Leveraging advanced algorithms, Suno transforms simple melodies into intricate compositions across genres. It’s a playground for musicians, producers, and enthusiasts, offering limitless possibilities. Join us as we explore how Suno is harmonizing technology with creativity.

I’ve even shared this with musicians who I thought might be a little bit disappointed or angry that this technology is available. Surprisingly, they were incredibly accepting of what it had to offer. Certainly, in my case it has inspired me to write lyrics even though I can’t sing or align those lyrics with musical instruments. In the case of creating a song for world teachers’ day or the people in our little street where I live, it allows me to create something that I think sounds nice and is also quite personal. Also, because I had put in the effort of creating this song and sharing it with a specific audience where the words of the song are personalised to that audience people seem to appreciate that more.

It’s free to try and I recommend that you do try it either individually or with your class because it adds an additional fun dimension to learning in an enjoyable way. It’s a way to turn a poetry slam into a musical performance piece and more.

Over on my Pilotographer blog I created a song from Suno and edited into my video of me landing my plane at the local airfield. I then had premier pro create the captions for the song and included that in the final video that I uploaded to YouTube. You can view it over on my Pilotographer site, but I included it here.

If you sign up (I think even for the free account) and use this link to sign up… https://suno.com/invite/@classiccanon073 I get 250 credits and you get 250 credits after you have created 10 songs… no obligation… but either way you will have fun.

I enjoyed this so much that I created another song for an Instagram reel or story (still working out what is what) that was a 1-minute video of a two-hour flight to Litchfield Park. By using Suno, I can create a verse about the flight, but I could also simply include dot points and ask Suno to create something for me. One challenge is pronunciation of local names in the song. Locals sometimes get local names wrong. I used the low-resolution videos that are the proxy videos created automatically on the GoPro when you use the GoPro Labs add-in. More on that in an upcoming post – BIG time saver. Because this was my first time creating a reel on Instagram, I used a template in Adobe Express which really made creating the reel. It was reely easy (sorry couldn’t resist). I could have scheduled the Instagram post but decided to publish immediately.
